Domesticated by the Gungans long ago, the kaadu are swamp-dwelling amphibious creatures able to live on both land and under water. Kaad lay their eggs in open ground, leaving them vulnerable to predators. Thus, the eggs are laid in vast numbers in the hope that some actually make it to the hatching stage. Kaadu are used as personal transport by the Gungans, and they are traditionally decorated with huge goff-bird feathers.
