Native to the remote fungus planet of Despayre, the mutmut is found chiefly in the temperate polar regions of the planet. Herbivorous bovine creatures, the mutmuts move around the rocky upland regions in vast herds, grazing upon the mushrooms and mosses that grow on the rocks. Mutmuts are prey to the carnivorous thaytase, and the Zephoid Zez scavenge what they can from the many mutmut carcases that litter the plains.
